Development of Coordinator of Diversity and Recruitment Initiatives Formation of Diversity and Recruitment Committee Revision of the Assistant Dean Position to include DEI under its description Composition of “Diversity & Recruitment Plan” which includes goals, objectives, action steps, partners and measures of achievements for recruiting and retaining a diverse faculty, staff and student population (2018 – 2019). Implementation of the “Diversity & Recruitment Plan” beginning in 2019. Since the plan was created based on a five year timeline, the committee decided to focus on specific tasks each year. The tasks selected were based on immediate need and attainability. Each task had 1-2 leaders to guide the work and report back to the committee. Moving forward, the committee plans to continue implementing the “Diversity & Recruitment Plan.” For the 2022 – 2023 academic year, the committee will focus on 11 tasks. Like we’ve done previously, there are task leaders who are guiding the work and reporting back to the committee.
