Relational Well-being February Spotlight Relational Well-being February’s focus is on Relational well-being. Relational well-being is how well you know yourself and how you interact with others in a genuine, healthy way. It can also be known as social well-being. According to the National Institutes of Health there are six ways you can improve your social well-being: make connections, take care of yourself, while caring for others, get active together, bond with your kids, build healthy relationships and shape your family’s health habits. Self-Care Self-care is anything you do to take care of yourself. This looks different for everyone, so there is no one way to do it! Even small acts of self-care in your daily routine can have huge impacts. Start by sharing ways you engage in self-care with those around you. You may discover something new! People who have healthy relationships are more likely to lead healthier and happier lives. Healthy relationships can boost health in a variety of ways, including: reduced stress, better healing, creating a sense of purpose, living longer, and a generally overall healthy lifestyle. Communication and trust are the foundations for building a healthy relationship. Invest in your relationships with time, activities and genuine interest. Healthy Relationships February 2024
