Examples of affiliate groups include the University of Illinois Asian American Faculty/Staff Association (founded in 1991), the University of Missouri Black Faculty/Staff Organization (founded in the late 1970s), BNY Mellon Bank LGBTQ+ Global Network (regional offices – many founded in the late 1990s) or the State Farm Insurance Diversity Support Network (regional offices – many founded in the 1980s).
